What’s trending in 2018?

Harrows
Glamour, opulence and richness continue for 2018.

Now the fun begins as we watch some of the colour trends continue from 2017 and new ones emerge for the hospitality industry.

Colour of the year 2018
Pantone has named Ultra Violet the 2018 Colour of the year. Bold yet enigmatic, mystic and imaginative, the colour of the year introduces a bit of positive and creative mix into the design world. We’re expecting to see Ultra Violet used on statement pieces like chairs, bar stools, banquette and lounge seating.

Colours
The rich earthy Terracotta colour with a touch of orange and red, is expected to be what emerald green was for hospitality interiors in 2017. The Terracotta shade will bring an ethnic and warm sensation to every space its used.

Like terracotta, an abundance of warm and earthy colours are taking over this year. Tones of burgundy, brown, mustard, steel blue, emerald green, blush pink and watermelon red will be popular in 2018.

Velvet and Leather Upholstery
More than ever we’re seeing rich velvets and buttery leathers being specified into hospitality interiors. Elegant velvet and soft leather have become key fabric choices for chairs, bar stools, banquette and lounge seating. Bring an element of opulence into any design through upholstery.
