Mainfreight’s depot in Tauranga has every detail thoughtfully attended to. Solar powered and using rainwater to wash their trucks, it is only fitting that their adjoining office was just as carefully designed. The furniture within was selected to not only provide comfort and beauty, but to maximize the functionality of the space.
Harrows-designed Saddle Ottomans were tucked beside Action Banquettes, providing a casual seating option for impromptu meetings or discussions. Upholstered in soft, muted colours with textural elements, the seating helped bring a fresh and open feel to the office.
The Pause Seating System was capitalized to create social spaces and breakout zones. In the reception, components were arranged to provide a comfortable place for clients to relax without dimming the bright, airy atmosphere while in the offices, curved sections of the Pause create a private meeting area for the team. Not only do the highbacks provide seclusion and comfort, they add acoustic softening inside the larger rooms, allowing discussions to be held in the open without bothering other members of the team.
