With summer just around the corner now is the time to plan your outdoor dining spaces to make your cafe, restaurant or bar the place where everyone wants to be this summer.
It’s important to find a balance between form and function – style and comfort can often be compromised in favour of furniture that meets the high performance requirements in these demanding environments. Choose practical pieces which can be personalised with funky colours and finishes to compliment the personality and story of your venue.
Moving your outdoor furniture in and out daily?
Chairs are best to be lightweight and stackable to allow for easy moving and storage. Adding lockable castor wheels to heavy tables and leaners helps with moving furniture in and out easily, meaning one staff member can do this on their own.
Leaving your furniture outside?
If it’s staying outside, make sure it is heavy and robust enough to withstand the weather. Built in outdoor booth seating is a great option, with removable squabs for easy pack up at the end of the day.
Rearranging tables to suit large and small groups?
Look for square and rectangular table tops with pedestal bases that can be used by themselves or pushed together for larger groups. Round pedestal bases are a great option for unobstructed access on all sides.
