A European inspired restaurant & bar in Tauranga’s latest residential development, the Elizabeth Towers.
The space was designed by Ctrl Space who honoured the clients love of an eclectic vintage aesthetic and a deep admiration for natural finishes. The brand had established the idea of a place where guests could ‘graze and play’. This phrase created the backbone of the creative direction, celebrating the romance with nature found while enjoying a picnic in a European meadow.
Harrows crafted bespoke tables and leaners to help achieve this balance of vintage and contemporary design, with a character not found elsewhere in the city. In addition to the custom leaners and tables, the Tactus Clashed table top on Step pedestal bases were selected to add texture and detail in beautiful natural and muted finishes to help achieve this vision.
With its combination of vintage charm with contemporary design ideas, Picnicka is a very worth finalist for the 2022 Best Awards and shortlisted for the Eat Drink Design Awards.
