Tukutuku AUT

Innovative design and sustainable practices harmoniously intersect, creating a space that inspires and sets a new standard for environmental responsibility.

AUT A

Tukutuku is the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences and the School of Education at AUT’s North campus.  It’s a dynamic space designed to inspire collaboration and learning, and was designed by Jasmax. The building was designed to encourages academic success, serving as a connected hub for students. It is AUT’s most sustainable building yet, contributing to the university’s distinction of having the lowest CO2 emissions per square metre of built space in Australasia.

Harrows played a pivotal role in supporting the sustainability vision by providing  a range of New Zealand-made furnishings that meet GreenRate™ Level C and PlatinumHEALTH™ HealthRATE™ certifications. A highlight of the project is the inclusion of Wisewool needle-punched blanketing in the Method Seating,  contributing to a space that’s truly built for life.
