A care facility designed as a home away from home.
The Canterbury Cancer Centre provides patients traveling to Christchurch for treatment a home away from home. This project, designed by Wilson and Hill Architects, is dedicated to creating spaces that offer both comfort and care. The center features a range of environments designed to meet various needs, dynamic communal areas that foster social interaction, while also having tranquil quiet zones offer space for personal reflection and relaxation.
Harrows played a key role in furnishing these spaces, providing a selection of soft seating and dining furniture designed for both comfort and functionality. In care facilities, it’s essential to have furniture tailored to meet the diverse needs of patients. Thoughtful design features, such as appropriately scaled seat heights and supportive armrests, cater to various mobility levels and physical requirements.
By focusing on these details, Harrows has contributed to creating an environment where patients feel secure and cared for, making their journey through treatment as comfortable and supportive as possible.
