A shopping centre with over 20 carefully curated eateries.
Master-planned to combine an open-air appeal and sense of community, Tauranga Crossing is one of the largest regional shopping centres in New Zealand. With a layout like no other designed by Warren and Mahoney architects, over 20 eateries are located over two levels. Harrows were delighted to work with a variety of eateries including Hawker & Roll, Majestic Tea Bar, Something & Social and The Coffee Club.
The biggest challenge for this project was meeting tight installation deadlines. This was incredibly important as financial penalties were at risk if The Crossing’s strict opening deadline wasn’t achieved. Harrows was “under pressure to perform, which they did – meeting and exceeding expectations” says Brad Jacobs, Director of Bird on a Wire. Before opening day, Harrows worked closely with owners, project managers and fit-out contractors to ensure installation ran smoothly. Despite custom banquettes having to be manufactured and installed before the tight time frame, Harrows “delivered yet again” to Mad Mex. Through strong communication and products that helped each eatery deliver their brand story, customers were ensured to be “very pleased with the end result.”
