A stunning example of quality Italian design
Ideal for any restaurant or cafe, the Babar Stool is an Italian stunner. With a slick and slender frame, curved back and tapered legs, this design displays great craftsmanship with exceptional performance and durability. The curved back rest and seat are designed for comfort and are made from a pressed ply – an extremely robust material that will stand up in the busiest of venues.
Make it your own by choosing your own paint or stain finishes. This stool is stocked in raw, allowing you to personalise it with any colour, as well as an option to add an upholstered seat pad in any fabric.
It’s those subtle design details that turn something regular into something remarkable. An eye-catching paint colour or textural upholstery could be what turns your space into one worth remembering.
Gonçalo Campos is a Portuguese product designer. Soon after graduating in Product Design in 2008, he joined Fabrica, Benetton’s communications research centre, in the design studio. This gave him the chance to work with brands such as Secondome, Seletti and Zanotta. In 2009, he worked in Sam Baron’s studio, continuing on to start developing a series of products which explore the possibilities of design through function and material. Campos prides himself on finding simple solutions through the use of materials and production methods, in a process that starts from within the object towards the outside. This results in recognizingly “smart” objects, often with a certain humor; the result of a relaxed way of thinking and curious attitude.
