Redefining Beauty Through Sustainable Innovation and Emerging Technology – Delving into the innovative use of emerging technologies and cutting edge materials to drive sustainable design, and the creation of a circular economy.
Andrea Rossetto, head of APAC from global design brand Arper will be presenting Catifa Carta, featuring a shell made from a revolutionary material composed of 100% biogenic wood by-products. PaperShell not only enhances the chair’s aesthetic appeal but also dramatically reduces its environmental footprint. Through advanced material science, this innovative material acts like a tree, sequestering carbon dioxide during its life cycle. At the end of its life, PaperShell can be reduced to biochar, successfully retaining the carbon sequestered during its previous life phases, setting a new benchmark for eco-conscious design.
Joining the panel is Louise Nash. Founder and CEO of Circularity, New Zealand’s leading circular design consultancy, dedicated to redesigning the future of business. Her philosophy is simple—work with nature, not against it. By embedding circular principles into business strategies, she is unlocking new value while solving environmental challenges. Today, Circularity is expanding globally, pioneering circular systems that redefine how industries operate for a regenerative future.
Our third panel member to be announced shortly.
The interactive discussion will explore concepts of material selection, the real meaning of circularity and the implications in a commercial context.
Join us from 8am for a light breakfast, some cheeky Italian cocktails and thought provoking discussion. Barista coffee, Espresso Negronis and Bellinis on the menu.
