Milford Asset Management’s office in the heart of Auckland, designed by Wingates, demonstrates how reinventing existing spaces with thoughtful interiors and furniture selection can transform a workspace in a way that celebrates connection. The space reflects a growing movement in workplace design: doing more with what you already have.
Rather than starting from scratch, the design team embraced the opportunity to retain and repurpose existing furniture that Harrows supplied a number of years ago. Quality solid timber designs like the Pi Leaner and Cleo Chairs are seamlessly integrated with new designs like the Terete Leaner and Link Display System. This approach not only supported sustainability goals but also preserved the familiar elements that staff had already connected with.
Strategically placed, the furniture now acts as both a functional asset and a spatial guide—supporting movement, encouraging interaction, and creating moments of calm throughout the workplace. The result is a space that feels both refreshed and rooted, where every element contributes to a sense of continuity and connection.
