How furniture helps define space in an open-plan workplace.

The office suites within the Mosaic fit-out show how furniture can be used to define space in a workplace that combines open-plan areas with enclosed meeting rooms. Designed by Unispace, the layout relies on furniture rather than partitions to organise how the floor is used.
Across the space, furniture is arranged to separate different types of work. Shared tables, high tables, banquette seating and smaller meeting settings create distinct areas while keeping the floor open. Changes in height and orientation help signal how each area is used.
Banquette seating is used to form edges and anchor key zones, while open tables and leaners keep sightlines clear across the floor. Enclosed meeting rooms provide privacy where required, using furniture that aligns with the rest of the space.
The result is a workplace where furniture sets the structure of the floor, guiding how people move, gather and work throughout the day.
