Skycity 24/7 Staff Facilities

A staff facility that is equivalent to anything that they would see front of house in the facility and as good as any café around NZ.

Skycity Staff Facilities Burning Red

When Burning Red Design was engaged by Skycity to design a 24/7 staff facility, the objective was set to ‘demonstrate the company’s commitment to their people in a tangible and physical form.’

With unique considerations around durability and budget, and a very high bar for aesthetic, meant Harrows was the ideal partner to deliver furniture for this exiting staff facility. Being operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, means the furniture would be utilised more than most environments, and so Harrows worked with the design team to ensure robust solutions were developed that met the look and feel brief. ‘The finished surfaces needed to be strong enough to handle this constant use, without creating an institutional feel.’ says Design Director Sophie Burns.

With a variety of seating arrangements, from timber leaners for larger groups to low tables and clever circular seating with pull together tables, there’s a space for everyone. The aim was to create an environment where staff feel welcome and are proud to be a part of the team.

It’s always a pleasure dealing with Harrows as it’s such a smooth process every step of the way. The end products are extremely well made and you're also buying NZ made which is a plus - quality products that will stand the test of time.
